The Cradle Mountain Film Festival is cancelled for April 3-5 2020
The Cradle Mountain Film Festival is in its sixth year and is a project of Cradle Mountain Canyons, an adventure tourism business running canyoning tours in the wild rivers around Cradle Mountain.
We’ve received many excellent entries for the One Year In Tasmania Adventure Film Competition 2020. These are maximum five-minute films that feature adventures in Tasmania, made between March 1 2019 and March 1 2020. The idea is to show the breadth and quality of adventure that can be had on this cracking little island of ours.
You can view the 2020 playlist on youtube from April 4 and vote for the Peoples’ Choice Award.
Each year we host the Tasmanian exclusive screening of Mountainfilm On Tour all the way from Telluride, Colorado at Cradle Mountain. Mountainfilm is a fantastic festival that showcases the best of the world's adventure films, and uses the power of art, film and ideas to inspire audiences to create a better world since 1979. We hope to bring you Mountainfilm later in 2020.
Join us in 2021 for adventures in film in unexpected and exciting locations all over the Cradle Mountain National Park and Village.
The full program includes Green Carpet screenings and adventurer Q&As in a Forest Yurt Cinema, family-friendly films, the self-guided Mountain Huts Film Trail, Tasmanian short adventure films, filmmakers' workshops, outdoor activities including canyoning, yoga and cold water therapy, Mountainfilm on Tour screenings, plus much more.
